* **Image**. A Photoshop document is a set of layers on which you draw on and manipulate your images. Each layer can include shapes, pictures, text, or other digital art, and all the layers are displayed simultaneously. The layers are arranged by stacking in sequential order from back to front, so the most recently created layer appears on top. You can change the color, position, and shape of layers and effects, and merge and dissolve them.
* **Open**. You bring a picture into Photoshop by opening a file from your computer’s hard drive, from a memory card, or from a scanner.

In the early days, Photoshop was often used only by designers and illustrators; now it’s used by all kinds of people—from stock photographers to home cooks.

By default, Photoshop Elements offers features for color, black and white, and adjustments such as levels. This page will explain how to view those and other important options.

The user interface can be adjusted to fit your taste and style. You may show the menu bar all the time, display most options to the side, or display the options in a menu bar at the top of the screen.

Read the Help menu for more information.

The components of a good image

All of Photoshop Elements’ features are grouped into what are called panels. A panel is a rectangular block of menu items. By default, Photoshop Elements and other free image editors group similar options together.

In this section, you will find various examples of how to find and select the Panels in Photoshop Elements, download those panels as individual files, and import them into the current file.

The layers panel

Photoshop Elements has many layers that can be applied to an image. You can use layers to organize an image into multiple layers. Each layer can contain any number of elements. Elements can be shapes, symbols, fonts, filters, or a combination of elements.

Objects that can be placed on the layers of an image can be found on the Layers panel. The icon for the Layers panel in Photoshop Elements is a square with rounded corners.

The Layers panel consists of the following areas:

Layers Panel Areas

The first area lists the layer names. You can open all or several layer groups at once.

The layers beneath the layer names are hidden if you don’t click on them.

The next area contains icons representing each layer. Clicking on a layer icon drops the cursor over the layer’s icon.

You can add, remove, or switch to edit a layer by clicking on a layer icon. For more information on editing layers, see Editing Photoshop Elements images.

The third area contains icons that represent styles. The first icon is for the Background style. Clicking on a background style icon opens the Background Style dialog box, where you can select a style and size for the background. The area of this dialog box is contained within a gray area with rounded corners.

The next icons in the area represent various areas of each layer. These icons contain information for the icons. For instance, the text area contains the name and size of the shape. The center line indicates where the shape’s anchor point will appear when the layer is

The Magic Wand allows you to select an area of the image by clicking and dragging on that area. Once selected, you can use the brush to remove (or copy) that area from the image. This will move all of the surrounding pixels with it. You can also remove the pixels of a specific color from your image.
The Lasso allows you to select pixels of a specific color or pattern. Once selected, you can remove the pixels from the image by clicking on the area outside of the pixels. When the pixels are deleted from the image, the image (and surrounding pixels) are moved with the deleted pixels.
The Pen Tool allows you to draw on the image as you would on a piece of paper. When the «ink» is pressed down, the pixels inside the image are removed. When the pen tool is released, the ink is removed as well. Note that the ink and pen tool does not function the same on all operating systems.
The Rectangular Marquee Tool allows you to create selections of specific pixels. Once selected, you can press the delete button to remove the selected pixels from the image.
The Eraser Tool allows you to remove pixels of a specific color. When pressed, the pixels are deleted and the image (and surrounding pixels) are removed as well. You can also create a selection of pixels by clicking the tool and dragging it across the image.
The Zoom Tool allows you to view an image at a high zoom level.
The Hand Tool allows you to move the tool over the image and activate a brush or pen tool. This is useful for painting, erasing, or copying.

The Selection Brush is a tool that allows you to select pixels by drawing over them. It is useful for removing pixels.
The Refine Edge Tool is a tool that allows you to smooth out the edges of your image. This is useful to reduce fringes and other inconsistencies in the image.
The Adjustment Brush is a tool that can be used to change the color or other properties of pixels in an image. This is useful for, among other things, creating an image with a specific color palette.
The Lasso Tool allows you to select a specific color or pattern of pixels. This tool is useful for creating selections for the Adjustment Brush or for removing pixels.
The Smudge Tool allows you to draw over an image and change the color of the pixels. It is useful for recoloring an image.
The Gradient Tool is a tool that allows you to create two

Qt QSerialPort adding tags

I’m using Qt’s QSerialPort to write some data on a Serial port, something like this:
void SerialWorker::write(const QString &message)
QByteArray data = message.toLocal8Bit();
QSerialPort serialPort = this->serialPort;

printData(«Error opening serial port»);

And in my application printData() method is:
void SerialWorker::printData(const QString &str)
QDateTime currentTime = QDateTime::currentDateTime();
QString dateTimeStr = QString::number( + «-» + QString::number( + «-» + QString::number( + » » + QString::number(currentTime.time
